HSBC Championship: Carlos Alcaraz Routs Arthur Rinderknech To Secure Semi-final Appearance

Carlos Alcaraz is in the last eight of the HSBC (Queen's Club) Championship, after defeating Arthur Rinderknech in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 in the quarter-finals. 

The one-time champion is on course to make his second final appearance since his first in 2023, which he won ahead of Wimbledon. Having won the round, he improved to 16 16-match winning streak, the longest of his ATP tour career. 

Arthur could barely have a break-point advantage, while Alcaraz converted two of the breaks he had in both sets. Meanwhile, the Spaniard had to save two set points at 4/5 30/30 to take the first set to the distance. However, he converted the fifth game of the second set for his second break, and Arthur shot a forehand wide. giving Alcaraz a match point in the 22nd game. 

"I'm feeling great, and I'm just happy to play at such a good level today," said Alcaraz."It was a big challenge today, but I'm happy with the way I played and felt today."

The top seed remained unbeaten against Arthur, whom he has now beaten on three occasions in their head-to-head meeting. He will face Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi-finals.
