Carlos Alcaraz Wins HSBC (Queen's Club) Championships For Second Time

Carlos Alcaraz defeats Jiri Lehecka in the final to emerge as the Queen's Club champion for the second time

Carlos Alcaraz has once again reclaimed the HSBC (Queen's Club) Championships, after defeating Jiri Lehecka in the final in three sets, 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2..

It was their third head-to-head, and Lehecka did not come easily to beat. Even though he lost in three sets, he forced Alcaraz to drop the second set, a notable show of competence. However, it was their second meeting at Queen's Club after their first in the quarterfinals of the 2023 edition.

The top seed claimed his first break-point in the first set at 5/5 and two more in the third. He has appeared in five finals this season, losing only to Holger Rune in Barcelona, and has improved to 27 wins out of 28 matches played since April.

"I just came here with a goal to play two, three matches, try to feel great on grass moving," Alcaraz said. "But, you know, I just got used to the grass really quick, and I'm just really proud about it. My goal was complete, and I'm not talking about lifting the trophy or making the final."

The two-time champion won his first Queen's Club title in 2023 by defeating Alex de Minaur in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, and became the youngest player in recent times to win an ATP Tour-level title on grass. He later won Wimbledon on his debut, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final.
