Chris Brown Released On Bail Following Attack On Music Producer
Popular R&B singer Chris Brown has regained his freedom from police custody, where he was held in the United Kingdom following an allegation of bodily harm inflicted on a music producer in London.
Brown was apprehended by the UK Metropolitan Police after they were tipped off about his arrival in Manchester. The singer was accused of beating up one Abe Diaw in London back in 2023. The police followed up on the information and arrested Brown at the hotel where he lodged upon his arrival in the country.
Diaw claimed the attack was unprovoked. He accused the Loyal singer of attacking him with a bottle and kicking him on the floor while his entourage watched. He claimed the incident left him with severe injury, and he was on crutches for some time.
The singer was meant to be remanded until June 13, but his bail was secured after he agreed to pay a £5 million security fee to the court as surety. His first application was denied, but he secured bail on his second application.
Though Brown was not in court for his bail application, the case has been adjourned until June 13 for further hearing on the bodily harm case filed by the police at the Crown Court.
Brown, who confessed his name to be Christopher Maurice Brown, revealed he now resides at the five-star The Lowry Hotel, and his manager has been helping him with his needs.
