Chelsea Beat Real Betis To Become UEFA Europa Conference League Champions
Chelsea are the champions of the UEFA Europa Conference League after defeating Real Betis 4-1 in a comeback from a goal deficit in the final.
The victory was historic for the Premier League side, as it became the first European club to win a trophy in all European competitions. Already, they have secured a UEFA Champions League slot for next season, having finished in the top four of their domestic league.
Betis took the lead in the early stages from Ezzalzouli's effort, rifling a shot from inside the box to beat Jorgensen to the goal. Chelsea restored level terms after returning from the halftime break, with Cole Palmer setting off with Enzo Fernandez a cross for a header.
Nicolas Jackson doubled the lead with another assist from Palmer. Jadon Sancho, who came in as a substitute, scored the third goal from Dewbury-Hall's assist, and Moises Caicedo sealed the victory with the fourth in injury time.
Chelsea won their first UEFA competition trophy in 2012 under the management of Jose Mourinho. Seasons later, they won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and now the UEFA Europa Conference League, making them the first club to achieve the feat.
