Ousmane Dembele's Stunning Goal Set PSG Ahead of Arsenal In UCL Semifinal

Paris Saint-Germain secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

Neither Arsenal nor PSG have ever won the UEFA Champions League. The farthest Arsenal have gone in the competition was reaching the final in 2004/05 under former manager Arsene Wenger. However, since PSG won the first leg at Emirates, they stand a better chance of reaching the final for the first time.

Dembele's goal came after a swift combination with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, showcasing PSG's attacking prowess. Khvicha's cut-back rightly landed for Dembele inside the box and smacked the ball down the bottom left of the goal.

Arsenal played impressively, particularly Bukayo Saka, who made many attempts to burrow through PSG's defense and was met with staunch resistance. Goncalo Ramos nearly doubled the tally for PSG near the stoppage, but his lob shot clipped the framework and bounced into safety.

As Mikel Arteta hopes to lead Arsenal to his first Champions League final, they have become the second Premier League team after Manchester United to play 200th game in the competition.
