Chelsea Reclaim Front Row After Defeating Everton

Chelsea secured important maximum points to reclaim a spot in the top four after they defeated Everton by 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues capitalised on a crucial moment in the first half following a flop from Jordan Pickford and moved ahead. They won by a loan goal despite multiple chances had. The game was quite in their control but goals were not forthcoming.
Nicola Jackson latched onto an Enzo Fernandez's pass and struck the ball down the bottom right of the goal. Jackson could have set the Blues ahead by two goal when Pickford's save landed in his path. The goal was ruled out for offside position.
Everton did have their moment. Their nearest effort to getting a goal was Dwight McNeil's goal-bound following a cut-back which Sanchez parried into safety. The Toffees' winless run extended to seven in previous eight Premier League games.
Overview
Unlike the Toffees, Chelsea had a field day holding possession until getting a lead goal from their efforts. Largely, Everton were not impressive and handed out an opportunity to the Blues to score from. The moment ensued from Beto's slow response to Pickford's ball and the Blues seized the chance to pull off the goal.
