Bukayo Saka Leads Arsenal To Claim London Derby Victory Against Fulham

Arsenal secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Fulham in a London derby at the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Merino and Bukayo Saka scoring crucial goals to seal the victory.

Bukayo Saka made his return from injury after three months on the sidelines. He was brought on in the second half, and his impact was quickly felt. However, it was not an easy game for Arsenal to crack Fulham's defense, and when they eventually did, they were worked out.

Arsenal's opener came in after half an hour, with Ethan Nwaneri's cut-back meeting Merino in scoring range. He rifled a shot that ricocheted off a defender and beat the goalkeeper to the net. Bukayo Saka doubled the lead with a header following Gabriel Martinelli's flick of Merino's cross into his path.

Fulham pulled a goal back in the injury-time minute, which was accidentally deflected into the net by Sialiba. Sessegnon's cross from the right flank met Rodrigo Muniz in scoring range, and he smacked the ball goal-bound, deflecting off Saliba to beat Raya to the goal

Fulham remained winless in two previous Premier League games, leaving them just one place outside European competition qualification. As the table summit is far off Arsenal's reach, they consolidated their position in second with 61 points.

Overview

Impactful return from Bukayo Saka. His goal set Arsenal on course to victory. However, Martinelli's influence on the game was commendable. Merino was involved in both goals. Fulham's defense was resolute but caved in to Arsenal's goal-scoring build-ups.
