Atalanta Lost Humbly At Fiorentina

Despite Atalanta's hard work, they missed the maximum points needed to close in on the table summit after losing 1-0 on the road to Fiorentina.

The hosts fended off earlier onslaughts from their opposition, and instead of the pressure to yield for Atalanta, a moment of defensive error from Isak Hien proved too costly, leading to the defeat by a lone goal from Moise Kean. Having to trail took its toll on the visitors, and they could barely find a scoring range to level.

Kean stole the ball from Isak, the last man in the defense line, and the Atalanta striker latched onto the ball before striking a low-cut shot down the bottom right of the goal.

Atalanta could not recover from the deficit. They tried burrowing Fiorentina's defense from the wing, and through the centre, yet to no avail. Instead, Fiorentina pressed deeper into their half and dictated the game pace. Kean was a big trouble for Atalanta until he was replaced; he put considerable pressure on Atalanta.

Atalanta could barely get a shot on target. It was their first since 2023 in a Serie A game not to get a shot on target. The defeat ended their second Serie A game loss in a row after an unbeaten run through eight previous games.
