Beyonce Wins Grammys For 'Cowboy Carter' At 67th Annual Award Ceremony
When it comes to Grammy, Beyonce is one big winner even the country music genre she delved into turned out to be successful. She received the award for the winner of the Best Country Album award at the 67th edition of the annual award ceremony on Sunday.
Beyonce released 'Cowboy Carter album last year: it was her first attempt in the genre and her eighth studio album. Despite that, the album won her the Grammy, making her the first black artist to make that feat in the genre.
"I just want to encourage people to do what they're passionate about," she said speaking on the podium as a Grammy recipient.
She was nominated alongside artists like Chria Stapleton for 'Higher', Kaycey Musgraves for 'Deeper Well', Post Malone for F-1 Trillion , and Lainey Wilson for 'Whirlwind'. Obviously, receiving a Grammy is not new to her as she is the all-time biggest winner with 34 awards. Adding this to her streak is a mileage not matched by any female artist.
Being a long-standing winner at the ceremony, she yet had one elusive award that was finally achieved as she was announced as the winner of the Album of the Year for her new project Cowboy Carter.
She was nominated alongside artists such as Andree 3000 for New Blue Sun, Sabrina Carpenter's Short n Sweet, Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department, Chappel Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Charli XCX's Brat, Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft, and Jacob Collier's Djesse Vol. 4.
