Manchester City Lash Ipswich Town At Home to Continue Unbeaten Streak

Manchester City maintained the winning streak they have regained, winning on the road to Ipswich Town by 6-0 and restoring themselves back to the top four of the EPL standings,

Though City kept up the unbeaten streak with Phil Foden's second successive brace and Mateo Kovacic with a low drive and precise strike, the second half was even better as Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland, and James McAtee also contributed to the scoresheet.

The home side are coming into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat against Brighton in midweek as they failed to build on the spectacular end they made to 2024. They claimed a 2-0 home win over Chelsea in their final game of last year.

Meanwhile, in their previous game, the Citizens shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw away to Brentford - all four goals were scored in the second half.

Ipswich played against Manchester City in one of the most humiliating matches of this season. Currently, Ipswich Town ranks 18th, while the Citizens hold 4th position.

Overview

Great performance from Foden and also worthy to mention was Doku, who was involved in most of the goals. He was significant throughout, barrelling through Ipswich's defense and causing a wrench in the game for the side.

With multiple options for the left wing with the likes of Savinho and Jack Grealish, City effectively have their full. Kevin Bruyne, as always, remained an important figure in the attacking lineup. However, Ipswich's resilience could not match the offensive approach that City brought into the game.
