Man. City Take Big Win To Progress Next Round of FA Cup
Manchester City claimed a comfortable victory against Salford City to progress to the next round of the FA Cup, winning by an incredible margin, 8-0. Jeremy Doku and McAtee added a brace and a hat-trick to the scoresheet.
The Citizens conveniently outpaced Salford, whose efforts were canceled by the more competent opponents, who scored from two penalties in the rout. The Citizens lineup was moderate in terms of players - most of their key players were in the dugout throughout the game. Still, Salford had difficulty making any sense of the game.
Doku set the side in the lead before Mubama and O'Reilly added their goals to extend the lead. After the halftime break, Jack Grealish scored from a penalty to make it four. McAtee scored the fifth goal before Doku's penalty made it sixth. McAtee later completed his hat-trick in the latter stages of the game.
City completely dominated the game even when the hosts showed some resilience and played deep into their half, they picked up the pace to send in more goals to finish off the game.
