Champions League: Arsenal Secure Place In Knockout After Comfortably Beating Dinamo Zagreb

Arsenal have booked their spot in the next round, having amassed the maximum points from their seventh games with a 3-0 victory against Dinamo Zagreb, affording the Gunners passage to qualify for the knockout round with victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Declan Rice set the tone for Arsenal. He received an assist from Kai Havertz and he slotted the ball into the bottom left corner while in front of Dinamo's defenders. Gabriel Martinelli picked out Kai Havertz in the box and he headed home the aerial ball from close range. In injury time, Martin Odegaard tapped home the third from Leandro Trossard's cross.

Dinamo arrived on the shores for their first competitive game of the month due to the Croatian league’s winter break, and on top of that is their newly signed manager, Fabio Cannavaro. The Italian manager hoped to inspire his side to a third-straight away win in the Champions League and failed, giving them no chance of reaching the play-off round.
