AC Milan Edge Juventus To Reach Italian Supercoppa Final
AC Milan are through to the final of the Italian Super Cup, setting up a derby final against Inter Milan following a 2-1 win against Juventus with a comeback that canceled out the hosts' lead.
Juventus had an impressive start, taking the lead from Kenan Yidz's effort following a counter. Christian Pulisic later leveled the scoresheet for Milan from a penalty drawn from Manuel Locatelli's foul before Yunus Musah struck the shot which was deflected home for an own goal.
Juventus passed up the game for caving into Milan's pressure after the first-half interval. They had a great start to the game and created chances. Kenan Yidz was a key figure during the period hence his goal. But, the victory slid off their reach following defensive flops. Besides, the penalty awarded against Manuel Locatelli, Federico Gatti's deflection of Musah's shot gave away the winning goal to Milan.
Meanwhile, it was a commendable effort from Yunus Musah, who led the counter culminating in the winning goal from Gatti's deflection following his substitution. Tammy Abraham was another player whose impact was quickly felt from the dugout.
Milan's manager Sergio Conceicao secured his first victory on his debut game in charge of the club. He was appointed to replace Paulo Fonseca on Monday and will lead the side to the final against their neighbors, Inter Milan.
