Newcastle Worsen Winless Run For Manchester United
Manchester United's situation is not easing rather it is compounding after losing 2-0 to Newcastle United at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have conceded at home in three consecutive Premier League games, slightly holding out from sliding into the last quarter of the EPL in the 14th position.
The Magpies picked up the two goals before the first-half interval through Isak and Joelinton. United were at the receiving end of the pressure from the opponents, which quickly led to goals. Newcastle dictated most of the game until United showed resilience in the second half but to no avail.
Alexander Isak set the side ahead early into the game nodding home Guiaraei's cross and the second goal was followed through Joelington with Anthony Gordon's cross inside the six-yard box. The build-up to both goals came from defensive flops from Noussair Mazraoui, who the Magpies' attackers took advantage of.
Isak has now scored in every of the last six Premier League games, having eight goals from all the games. Meanwhile, United's winless run continues to worsen to six consecutive games in all competitions as they struggle to climb up the EPL standings.
