Kylian Mbappe Hits Back At Critics, Wants To Win Titles In 2025
Kylian Mbappe has issued a stern warning to his critics ahead of the New Year and promised to make his debut at Real Madrid a trophy-laden season despite shoddy outings that have trailed his performance so far in this campaign.
The Frenchman was signed from Paris Saint Germain in the summer following many failed attempts to leave the Ligue 1 side. However, his start to his debut at the Spanish side has not been as splendid as anticipated, and his favorite starting position clashes with Vinicius Jr's. For that reason, he often plays from the center which constrains his style of play.
"No one at Real Madrid will regret my signing," Mbappe is quoted as saying to the club president Florentino Perez by Spanish tabloid, Marca. I want to win titles in 2025; that's the mission."
While Vinicius was crowned FIFA Men's Player of the Year, Mbappe missed out on the prestigious award and both players missed out on winning the Ballon d'Or to Manchester City's Rodri. It has been a mixed bag of fortune and misfortune despite his huge signing fee to the club.
Nonetheless. his performance has improved lately and his contributions of four goals and two assists in six games can be a relief for him. Furthermore, Real Madrid are closely trailing the La Liga leaders, Atletico Madrid by just a point as the league title heats up.
