Carlo Ancelotti In Between Two Defenders As Real Madrid Seek To Replace Injured Dani Carvajal

Real Madrid are beaming their searching light on two right-backs from the Premier League and have even made contact with one whilst they are ruminating on another, making efforts to convince to find the need to move to their side.

Diogo Dalot and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the two players that Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly setting out to sign and has even reached out to Manchester United for Dalot as reported by Relevo. Should United agreed to sell the player, that is believe to come at £46.5m in fee.

Meanwhile, Real are not just recently setting out to seek the player's transfer to Bernabeu. They had contacted the club under previous manager, Erik ten Hag on their interest in the player. However, what chance does Trent Alexander-Arnold stand in the midst of this?

Though Real also reportedly want to go for the Liverpool player but he is believed to be holding back as he is understood not to be yielding to attempts to convince him. Considering  that they are atop the league and Arne Slot might not be keen on letting go of the club's protege. Conversely to Dalot, the Merseyside player is in the latter stage of his contract with Liverpool and that will run out by next summer.

Since the player stands to leave as a free agent by the end of the season, Real are trying to lure him to signing a deal as a free agent ahead of his contract expiration in the summer. Another twist to this is that, the Liverpool-born star might not be keen to leaving the side should the club open talks on contract extension with him.

At that juncture, the Portuguese player stands a chance with Real, and United, under their new manager, Ruben Amorim might not be keen on keeping him. Meanwhile, Dalot contract is running until 2027 after he renew his contract in 2023. Since, Real are in need to make up for Dani  Carvajal-s ACL injury spell, the need to sign his replacement apparently is expedient to the club.
