Rapper Akon Not Keen On Undoing His Past, Lyrics

Initially, what everyone only know about Akon was his music, particularly his hit tracks such as, Ghetto, Lock Up, and Lonely. While those sounded mild to hears, he also has some explicit tracks that gained huge attention back in the day. Even as they might sound a little off to some listeners today but guess what? That was the life then, and Akon in his words, "would never condone" anyone to undo their past either.

Back in the early 2000s, amongst artists like 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Nelly, and DMX that rocked the airwaves was Akon. The American-born Senegalese did not only get his American audience stuck on his music, he had his African crowds listening to them as well. It was unusual to have someone like him do so well amongst his counterparts.

"I would never condone anyone to change their past because their past is where they make who they are, it's what makes them 2ho they are today," Akon explained speaking to Metro.

Considering his music back then, they sometimes come with explicit themes like, "I Wanna F**K You" and the lyrics can sometimes be hardcore like, "Smack that, all on the floor, Give me some more, Smack that." They can be really erotic and that was the music of the day at the time.

Though, even to him, he could not believe how fast things have changed and how quick 20 years could fly by, and yet, he admitted that it felt almost like yesterday look back to those days.

He continued to say: "I think with time, people will change. With maturity, people will make different types of decisions on what they're dealing with currently"

However, everything about Akon has not been music alone. A few years ago, the rapper embarked on an ambitious project to light up his country and Africa through Solar Technology to generate electricity. At the earlier stages, he made some successes before the project began to slowdown and fizzled out.

Amongst other businesses he has tried his hands on recently can be said to be real estate and bitcoin. The latter appeared to be the one he was heard of most as of recent, meanwhile, the former seemed to have technically wind up.
