Ademola Lookman May Leave Atalanta In Coming Transfer Window As Manchester United, Others Enter Race

Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman's future hangs in balance as Manchester United, PSG, and West Ham United vie for his signature in oncoming transfer window.

The impressive and versatility form that Lookman has attained recently, is getting the attentions of top European clubs, and with the January transfer window just around the corner, the chances of him leaving the Italians is high.

With a string of clubs linked to the winger, Manchester United are speculated to be willing to trigger his release clause set at €70million. As Caught Offside reported it, United are not alone as PSG are also closely monitoring the development. Nevertheless, Lookman has not made known his stance on leaving Atalanta.

PSG's interest in Lookman dates back to the summer transfer window, when they reportedly showed interest in signing the Atalanta winger. Although a deal failed to materialize at the time, PSG's struggles in front of goal have highlighted the need for attacking reinforcements, and Lookman remains a top target for the French giants.

Even at the speculations ot his impending transfer, the 27-year-old is not unfamiliar with playing in Premier League either. He once played for Everton, Fulham, and Leicester, and contrary to then, his form has since improved beyond what it was at those clubs.

In retrospect, he was instrumental to Nigeria finishing in second for the silverware at the 2023 AFCON Cup in Cote d'ivoire. Likewise, he scored the hat-trick that landed Atalanta 3-0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen, for their first European competition trophy in the UEFA Europa League last season.
