2025 Grammy Awards: Nigerian Artistes Get Nods As Organizers Release List of Nominations

Apparently, a handful of Nigeria artistes are going to be contending for Grammys with their counterparts at the 67th annual ceremony on February 2, 2025 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The likes of Asake, Davido, Tems, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Wizkid made it to the list of nominations released for ceremony on Friday.

As Nigerian artistes might be ecstatic about their nominations, the leading artiste with most nods is the American R&B singer, Beyoncé with 11 nominations. The Formation crooner received the nods for her latest album, Cowboy Carter amongst which is record of the year and album of the year awards. Bear in mind, that record of the year is one award that has eluded the female singer through her career  at the ceremony/

The likes of Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish received seven nods, and two-time record of the year winner, Taylor Swift received six nods alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
