Europa League: Harry Maguire's Late Header Rescues 10-Man Man. United From Loss To Porto

Manchester United sadly forfeited should-be comfortable victory to draw 3-3 against Porto in the Europa League group stage games, in a comeback that canceled their lead before Harry Maguire's stoppage time equaliser restored the 10-man side into the game.

Porto had earlier conceded two goals from United before they shocked the English team with equalizing goals from Pepe and Samu Omorodion. United's situation became perplexing when Bruno Fernandes was issued a red card for his tackle in front of Porto's goal. Fortunately, Maguire rescued a point from the side I  the stoppages.

United took the lead from Marcus Rashford drilling a right-footed shot past Porto's defence into the back of the net in the seventh minute. The England forward later set up the second goal, picking out Rasmus Holjund with pass for the Dane to finish.

In less than 10 minutes after Porto had trailed by two goals, a defensive header clearance from United went wrong and Pepe headed home the loose ball from Andre Onana's parry to pull one back for Porto. The scores later leveled five minutes later as Samu connected his header to a cross and beat Onana to the goal.

Shortly after halftime, Samu doubled his goal tally with the third goal for Porto, tapping home a cut-back from Pepe. United later found succour from Maguire, who came in as a substitute. The England defender connected his header to Christian Eriksen's cross from the right-wing and equalised for United.

While the game might have seemed unpleasant to United, Samu extended his goal tally to seven in all competitions for Porto. He was just signed to the the club in the summer and already have seven goals in all six games.
