Chelsea Player Named England Player of the Year

 

Cole Palmer has been announced as the England men's Player of the Year, thumping top contenders like Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham to the prize. 

The Chelsea. 21. forward is just in the second season of his contract, he finished his debut season with 22 goals to top as the club's scorer and second only to Manchester City forward, Erling Haakand in the Premier. Since the start to the new season, he has contributed six goals in seven appearances  to Chelsea in the Premier League. 

Signed for £40million from Manchester City, his transfer was quickly reckoned with as one of the rewarding signings made by the club in the summer of 2023 and voted the Premier L ofeague's Young Player of the Year, 2023. 

Unlike last season, Chelsea have been off to a great start both in the domestic league and in their continental games, Europa Conference League. Presently, they are fourth on the table with 14 points after they drew 1-1 against Nottingham Forest in a comeback at Stanford Bridge. 

He will join the England national team, Three Lions to play against Greece in the National League group stage encounter at the Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.
