Champions League: Arsenal Get In Winning Forms, Neatly Defeat PSG

Arsenal claimed a crucial 2-0 victory from their second Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain at Emirates Stadium for their first victory in this campaign.

The Gunners, who drew their opening game against Atalanta registered their first goal of the season from Kai havertz's header from Leandro Trossard's cross. The lead doubled from Bukayo Saka scoring from a free-kick after half hour of play.

Havertz yet again had a scoring chance in the second half but forced a save from Donnarumma. Calafiori nearly drew a penalty for the French side, luckily the VAR ruled it to be ball-to-hand.

Arsenal have remained unbeaten in all competitions this season, with Havertz bringing his goal tally to five in all competitions as well.

Overview

Incredible game with plausible composure from Arsenal. They got the needed lead from fairly dominated first period before the Parisians became fired up to make a comeback into the game.

Saliba and Calafiori were up to the task at the back, keeping the Parisians at bay after changes made by Luis Enrique with Fabian Luiz and Kolo Muani helped bolstered the side's attack. Arsenal yet remained resolute on keeping the lead. David Raya also made brilliant saves to keep the side's clean sheet victory.
