Premier League: Big Loss To 10-Man Man. United Against Tottenham At Old Trafford


Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial 3-0 victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford, in a match that was made complicated for the hosts with the dismissal of bruno Fernandez. 

It did not take long before the Spurs got ahead from van de Ven capitalizing on United's error to lead fast break, released a cross to set off Brennan Johnson for a tap in for the opening goal. Johnson afterward reciprocated the effort for gifting the side the lead, earlier into the second half he lobbed a cut-back to Kulusevski to poke past Andre Onana for the Spurs' second goal. 

10-man United seemed revamped and regrouped afterwards with Casemiro narrowly missing pulling one back for the side -his low-cut shot drifted across the goal missing the bottom keft of the goal by inches. Then, Spurs estalished the dominace of the game from a set-piece as Ismaila Sarr's headed landed on Dominic Solanke's foot for a tap past Onana.

United could not undo the deficits for the remaining period of the game and Tottenham made away with their fourth undefeated game against United as the Red Devils' dropped beneath the middle of the table in 12th position, 

Overview

United did not get the start that fans might have expected, complicating their situation was the sending off of Bruno Fernandez. Though the Portuguese captain could not really make much impact on the game until his exit, he was yet a dependable player in the midfield, losing him considerably impacted on the team's attacking frontline going forward. 

Just as United tried to make something out of the situation, Spurs revamped their frontline and the combine efforts from Johnson and Kulusevski appeared to pay off with both directly involved in two earlier goals before Solanke's. 

Changes made by Erik ten Hag briefly brought relief between the two goals in the second half. Gernacho moved to play from the left while Rashford was replaced by Rasmus Holjund, and Christian Erikssen for Ugarte. All that should have helped provide succour to the Red Devils instead the Spurs yet stole the show.
