No Stopping Of Victor Boniface As B. Leverkusen Thrash Hoffenheim

It was a glorious weekend for Victor Boniface at Bayer Leverkusen. The Nigerian striker won for the side their game at Hoffenheim by 4-1, scoring a brace and also assisted with the opening goal.

Bayer caught their opponents off-guard from fast breaks to pull off three of those goals and Boniface was involved in three of those. He had missed a chance saved by Oliver Baumann before Florian Wirtz scored the third goal from a penalty.

As the Bundesliga defending champions, Bayer Leverkusen can deliver another memorable season in 2024/25, after going unbeaten en route to winning the Bundesliga and DFB Cup last term.

"I learn every day. For my own side, I think there is more of what I know I can do, but it is not just about me. It is about the whole team. The most important thing is the team," said Boniface in a post-match interview.

His goal celebration could well have landed him in trouble after dropping  his shorts to reveal his briefs and made an obscene gesture at the home fans to celebrate his opening goal.

It can be recalled that he was fined and handed a one-match ban after another offensive gesture at the German Super Cup to usher in the new season.
