Miley Cyrus Sued Over Flowers For Sampling Another Artist's Song

Miley Cyrus' grammy-winner song Flowers has landed her in troubles with another artist, who is accusing her of sampling his 2013 song, When I was your Man. The case is already in court and everyone involved in that song is being dragged along in the lawsuit.

Bruno Mars is the artist in the mix over his song, When I Was Your Man, which Mars' team has so much against. They alleged both songs are similar many ways such as the "medolic, harmonic and lyric elements" of the songs.

Earlier this year, Miley won the recording of the year and best solo pop performance for Flowers at the Grammy Awards. It was her first recording of the year award at the Grammy, just as Mars who has won it three times.

As garnered by E!, Mars' team pointed out that, "it is undeniable based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings that Flowers would not exist without When I Was Your Man."

As mentioned before, Miley is not alone in the suit, everyone involved in writing the song is named in the suit. Even the distribution companies are not left out. The case reportedly was filed by New York-based company, Tempo Music Investments and they are demanding that the artist and all those involved refrain from performing, distribution, and reproducing the song any further.
