Galatasaray Land Victor Osimhen Sensational Loan Deal

Galatasaray has pulled off a stunning transfer move for Victor Osimhen, secured the services of Nigerian goal-machine on a season-long loan from Napoli after the striker's anticipated move to Chelsea failed to materialise.

Both Chelsea and Saudi Arabia's Al Ahil were in advanced talks with Napoli over the transfer of Osimhen but negotiations broke down over the discrepancy that Chelsea offered a season-long loan plus an obligation to buy permanently. Since Osimhen and representatives declined the offer, the expectations that Al Ahil will proceed with their four-year deal of £33m-a-year wages also failed.

The situation later became dire as Antonio Conte removed the player from his starting lineup with the view of not reintroducing him to the squad over his transfer deal mishap. Now, that Romelu Lukaku is the club's new No. 9, Osimhen is left in limbo.

Since Osimhen passed up the two offers that led to his failed exit from Napoli, the club has agreed a deal with the Turkish club with the view of retaining him longer. It is also understood that Napoli intend to extended his contract until 2027 to retain his value, which comes with a buyout clause of £130m.

The 25-year-old striker, who is renowned for his blistering pace and clinical finishing, is set to electrify the Süper Lig with his explosive talent and will be pairing with Mauro Icardo at the club. The prospect of this dynamic duo leading the line is set to further bolster the team at the front.
