Gakpo, Jota's Double See Off Liverpool To Carabao EFL Cup Fourth Round

Liverpool produced a sensational comeback to thrash West Ham United 5-1 in the Carabao Cup third round, with Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo each netting a brace. 

Jarell Quansah's own goal gave away the opening goal to West Ham following a horrific mix-up at the back, leaving his side to come from behind. However, Liverpool responded swiftly, with Diogo Jota equalizing before halftime.

Jota struck again after the break, followed by goals from Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo, who scored twice to seal the rout. Gakpo's impressive performance solidified his status as a formidable force at the front for the Reds.

Liverpool have now progressed to the fourth round to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on September 28, 2024.
