Chelsea Share Spoils With Palace In London-Derby

Crystal Palace held on to share points with Chelsea following a 1-1 draw from Eberechi Eze's effort at Stanford Bridge as the race to the Premier League title glory heats up.

It was not the London-derby that Chelsea might have anticipated at Stanford Bridge, though it was their first of the season and Palace were not easy crackers they can get maximum points from after all.

The Blues had led from Nicolas Jackson's opener following a counter inspired by Noni Madueke before Palace pulled one back early into the second half from Eze's individual effort, curling the ball into top right corner of the goal.

Chelsea seemed to lose the coordination the had from the first half as the build up to the opening was well orchestrated. Since the game leveled, that kind of left Chelsea somewhat frustrated. Credit to Henderson for a couple of saves to keep the side in the game

Palace did not even bulge to changes made by Enzo Maresca with bringing on Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix to bolster the frontline. The visitors maintained staunch discipline at the back and Henderson complimented that with brilliant saves.
