Premier League: Havertz, Bukayo Lead Arsenal To Win Opening Game Against Wolves
It was yet another great start to the new season for Arsenal. They secured the much-needed opening game victory in hard-fought 2-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium, courtesy of neat finishes from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
The Gunners dictated the pace from the outset, dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities. Saka's pinpoint cross found Havertz, who expertly nodded home the aerial ball, giving José Sá no chance.
After a sluggish second half, Saka's individual brilliance secured the points. Cutting in from the right, he unleashed a precise left-foot shot past Sá, cementing Arsenal's victory.
Despite Arsenal's control of the game, Wolves did cause scare through Rayan Aït-Nouri and Rodrigo Gomes, but David Raya stood firm. Hwang Hee-Chan's cross nearly yielded an equalizer, only for Raya to deny Larsen's header.
Having secured the maximum points, Arsenal are back again for yet another campaign in the quest to lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time since former manager, Arsene Wenger left. They have narrowly missed the silverware back-to-back to Manchester City and are now building momentum for their title challenge.
