Paris 2024: Morocco Eliminate United State To Progress To Semi-final

Morocco emerged victorious over the United States by 4-0 in a thrilling quarterfinal showdown to progress to the Last 4 of the  Paris Olympics football tournament.

The match was intense, with both teams making several efforts throughout the game. The game plan deployed by Morocco apparently paid off, allowing the side to have fair control of the game. They missed several goal-scoring opportunities that could have made the victro even more comfortable for the side.

Rahimi put the Moroccans ahead near half hour of play, scoring from a penalty given for a foul on him inside the box. The lead was doubled as Akhomach finished off an assist from Ezzalzouli's display of individual brilliance.

Achraf Hakimi, the star player from Paris Saint-Germain, added the third to the lead, gliding through the United States' defense and placing a shot into the right corner of the net. Morocco's final goal was scored through a penalty given for a handball in the box.

Morocco did obviously get the better of the Americans, who had their moment on the hour of play when Miles Robinson missed a glaring chance for a tap in from close range. To Morocco have to their advantage well-experienced players like Hakimi and Rahimi. The PSG star, Hakimi is amongst the three overage players in the Moroccan team.
