Paris 2024: Fermin Lopez Fires Spain U23 Past Japan U23 Into Semi-finals.

A brilliant brace by Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez helped fire Spain to 3-0 win over Japan and secured their place in the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics U23 tournament.

Fermin's first goal was a well-struck effort from outside the area, but his second was even more spectacular. He controlled a pass directly from a corner before volleying home from outside the area and gave his team, Spain the victory.

The 21-year-old was in fantastic form for the side and the two brilliant goals compensated for his effort. The Barcelona midfielder has been a key figure for Spain since the start to the tournament.

Much of the game was dictated by Spain who lost their last group game to Egypt to finish second. The one-time U23 champions will continue on their quest for their second Olympic gold in the semi-final to face Morocco.
