Novak Djokovic is a match away from a career-long bid for an Olympic medal after defeating Italian player, Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets, 6-4 6-2 to progress to the final of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

As Carlos Alacarz is on the verge of history to become the youngest player ever to win an Olympic tennis medal, likewise is Novak Djokovic, who is on the quest for his first Olympic gold even his first final appearance. The duo had just met at the Wimbledon final which Alcaraz won. Obviously, it is going to be a final of many importance to both players.

The semi-final match was such an intense one for both players. For Alcaraz, he was playing against Felix Auger-Aliassime and defeated the Canadian player in straight sets, 6-1 6-1.

As convenient as that might seem, Auger-Aliassime was not an easy player to beat and can be fierce on the use of his forehand. Alcaraz was well into the game and was able to match up every technique deployed by the Canadian to get past. He break twice in the first set and for the third time in the second at 4-1. Then, he won the match on his serve.

Presently, making the final guarantees the Spaniard either of the two medals and that effectively makes him the youngest player to have an Olympic medal Having said that, he is set to join his countryman, Rafael Nadal as the second Spaniard to win Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Olympic gold in the same year.
