Manchester United's Mason Greenwood Completes Transfer To Join Ligue 1 Club
Mason Greenwood has finally found a club to restart his career and Manchester United have completed his transfer on a permanent contract to join French side, Olympique de Marseille.
The club confirmed the player's move in a statement released on Thursday and commended him on his spell at the club during which he contributed 35 goal in 129 appearances in all competitions.
For about two and half years, Greenwood has not played for United. Recently, he was loaned to Getafe for a season. Yet, that could not kick start his career following his arrest on multiple charges including rape.
Since the player was acquitted of the charges at the court, United have remained unwilling to reintroduce the him to its starting lineup over the fear of backlash from the public. Instead, United completed his transfer to join the Ligue 1 side on a five-year deal worth £26.6 million.
