Premier League: Chelsea Climb Up Standings With Win Against Tottenham



Chelsea have secured an important win to move up the Premier League standings to further boost their place for Europa League qualifications with 2-0 defeat of Tottenham at Stanford Brigde. 

The opening goal came in before half hour from Trevoh Chalobah's header from Conor Gallagher's free-kick before Nicolas Jackson doubled the lead midway the second period, nodding home Cole Palmer's free-kick that bounced of the goal frame. 

Spurs have now lost three consecutive Premier League games - they lost their last game against arsenal over the weekend by 3-2. In the other hands, the victory gave the Blues with their eighth home game victories in the past 10 game, 

Overview 

Tottenham had a really tough game which could have boosted their to chance for Champions League qualification. It was their best game from the start and Heung-min Son was almost quiet through out and Richarlsson could not cause any scare at the front either. For Chelsea, the set pieces leading to both goal were well taken. 

Spurs had their moments scoring chances especially with Romero and Johnson whose efforts went just inches wide. For much of the game they were outplayed by Chelsea. Nino Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk great impacts on the game from the flangs . They really had the better of the game and in was game they had in the hand from the start.
