Premier League: Arsenal Consolidate On Title Pursuit, Neatly Defeat Bournemouth To Extend Table Lead

Arsenal are radually coasting near the realisation of their Premier League title pursuit with a neat 3-0 defeat of Bournemouth at Emirates Stadium to extend table lead by four goals margin.

It took a little longer for Arsenal to get ahead but they did late into the first half with Bukayo Saka's penalty drawn from Travers' rough tackle on Kai Havertz.

The Gunners extended the lead from an delightful build up that was completed with Declan Rice's pass to Martin Odegaard for a sensational shot into the back of the net. Rice later put the cherry on top with a stoppage time goal from Gabriel Jesus' assist.

Saka's opener would be his 20th goal in this campaign as extended lead in the standings on their 14-in-16 Premier League game victories.

Overview

An interesting start from both sides, a little hard for Arsenal to break through the defense walls of Bournemouth but an effort through the left flank from Odegaard released a through ball to Havertz to latch onto and made a penalty out of that.

Bournemouth were up for the offensive with Klaivert occasional effort repeatedly refuted by Arsenal's defense. Saka, as always, remain effective through the half and likewise Ben White, who initially went upfront for an attack.

Though, Bournemouth had a goal from Semenya canceled in the second half for an Infringement on David Raya, still the referee's decision overall was fair. Arsenal could have had a wider margin and eventually did with Declan Rice's superb stoppage stunner.
