Controversial Nigerian Singer, Portable Drops New Single 'Spider-Man' After Release From Police Cell

It has not been the best of weeks for Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Habeed Okikiola Badmus otherwise known as Portable, however, the controversial singer is shrugging all his troubles off with the release of a new single, 'Spider Man.'

What could be the singer's troubles lately? Well, Portable spent Tuesday night in the police cell after he refused an arrest over an unpaid car debt. He got himself into the unpleasant situation after he scaled the front gate to his resident to abscond while he was being approached by the police and the car dealer.

Barely hours after Portable was released on Wednesday, he dropped 'Spider-Man' and there-in he responded to the situation that arose from his arrest following his non-payment of debt incurred from the car purchase of a G-Wagon.

Portable was accused of his refusal to pay the outstanding debt of #14 million (£7,300) on the vehicle when approached by the dealer. The G-Wagon reportedly was sold to the 'Zazoo' crooner for #27 million (£18,000).

Upon the release of the singer, the police spokesman confirmed the release speaking to a Nigerian media outlet, Channels Television, that the singer was "released on bail" on the condition that he returns to the station with the complainant, when decision will be made on what the authorities would do on the case.
