Champions League: Borussia Get The Better of Semis First-Leg Against PSG

Borussia Dortmund have got a head start over Paris Saint-Germain with a 1-0 home win of the Champions League semi-final first-leg ties.

The Germans had the better of the game from the start and got something out of it with Schlotterback's  pin-point cross that found Niclas Fullkrug to latch onto and hit right enough to beat  Donnarumma for the winning goal just after half hour of play.

Dortmund were able to maintain their unbeaten home run with the victory as they now have not loss on home ground in 11 games in major European competitions. They will meet their French opponents in Paris for the second-leg tie of the semi-final next week.

Overview

Mbappe did not get much of the ball to get the offensive unleashed for PSG as the Germans got their grip on the game for much of the first half, which paid off with the opening good from Niklas Fulkrug.

Dortmund did well on keeping their defence in tact, besides two-three players closing up on Mbappe, Dembele likewise did not get the space needed to penetrate enough. Still, the margin could have wider if not for incredible saves from Donnarumma.

Great contributions from Dortmund's Jadon Sancho at the front and that was not to mention Karim Adeyemi forcing fast breaks for the German and as a consequence relaxed the French side's offense in their halve. Though, the Ligue 1 side had fair ball possession but were really unlucky finding the ball fo the net especially that missed chance from Dembele in front of goal.
