Arsenal's Fate And Closing Phase of Premier League Title Race With Manchester City
As the Premier League enters its final stretches of the season with shocking twists in the tale providing plenty of thrilling games. Arsenal and Manchester City trailed each other - switching places in the EPL standings - for much of the season, competing in a delicate race for the title that we have rarely seen previous seasons.
Initially, Liverpool and Arsenal were the leading duo as Manchester City now holding the advantage, thanks to their game in hand that could take them top of the table. While Arsenal were able to recover after their losses, Liverpool were unable. The Reds playing draw against Manchester City has seemingly derailed their season title chase as they have since gone on to lose against Crystal Palace and Everton and draw to West Ham United and Manchester United, leaving them in thier points behind the league leaders.
Arsenal currently sit top of the table by a point, but Manchester City are breathing down their necks as they have a game in hand, so the North London outfit need Pep Guardiola’s side to drop points in their remaining game.
Arsenal’s fixture against Manchester United game was arguably one of their toughest and with the recent form, they have the right quality of players within their ranks to see through beating the Red Devils. That comes handy for Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners know that if they keep winning-games, then it will keep the pressure on City, but Arteta is aware of how slim his chances are despite his men's victory over Bournemouth and Manchester United, especially in this final stretch battle in the English Premier League title race which has been equally as thrilling.
Arsenal’s final game of the season is at home against Everton, and this could prove to be the most important game of the season because if results go their way, then a win in this one could give them victory for the Premier League.
Although Everton will want to finish the season on a high, we do not see any other results than a victory for the Gunners considering that Arsenal have won four of their five previous games against Everton.
Well, even if winning the last match seems to be at the reach of Arsenal, they yet would necessary some forms of lucky to lift the Premier League trophy over Manchester City. Bear in mind, the missed winning the title last season to City after series of losses near the closing state of the season.
