Premier League: Chelsea Humbled With Massive Loss To Arsenal

Arsenal have maintained the Premier League lead with an emphatic defeat of Chelsea in a London derby with Ben White and Kai Havertz scoring a brace each to keep the side through.

Chelsea suffered a massive 5-0 loss at the hands of their London neighbours at Emirates Stadium, with four of the five goals conceded in the second half alone. The Blues, however, were initially into the game like they were going to get something out of it. That did not happen eventually.

Leandro Trossard was the opening goal scorer and did have more chances to doubled his goal counts but couldn't get the ball in. He scored fifteen minutes into the game before White and Havertz made it a third within five minutes interval after halftime break.

Havertz made it fourth with an individual effort amidst defenders and smacked the ball down bottom left. Then, it was all wrapped up with White's five minutes later, lobbing Martin Odegaard's cross into the goal over Petrovic.

Chelsea haven't lost by such margin to Arsenal in 34 years, and in the same game, the Gunners have reached their 104th goal of the season to stay ahead in the Premier League title race.

Overview

Remarkable game for Arsenal to have won by a ridiculous margin against the fellow Londoners in a derby. Chelsea didn't seemed as that side that would cause Arsenal a scare from the start and having to be humbled in that way was not something that didn't seem to be forthcoming.

Arsenal dictated much of the first half, having a couple of near chances that would have doubled the lead anyways. Bukayo Saka had a couple of those chances. Even though he didn't get any goal, he really made the game difficult for Chelsea from the right flank.

Chelsea have shown to have not very tight defensive from the first half  as Arsenal repeatedly made their way through into the box. It was not that game that Chelsea would like. Arsenal were impressively on top of their game.
