Premier League: Arsenal Regain Table Lead With Wolves' Defeat

Arsenal are back on top of the Premier League with 2-0 away win against Wolverhampton with Martin Odegaard scoring a stoppage time goal to complete the victory.

Wolves did not stand a chance with Arsenal from the start and the Gunners compensated for their efforts with the opener from Leandro Trossard smacking home Gabriel Jesus' pass into the top corner of the net.

As the match entered into added minutes of the second half, Arsenal found another scoring chance, as Odegaard from a difficult  angle, steered home Sa's poorly saved ball to put the side clear by two goals.

With the maximum points won from the game, Arsenal retook table lead by one point ahead of nearest team, Manchester City (73pt) and also extended their unbeaten run against Wolves to six successive Premier League games.

Overview

It was a well-deserved victory for the Gunners to have regained the standings summit after briefly losing the spot to Manchester City after losing to Aston Villa last weekend. The goal margin should have been more but multiples misses and Jose Sa's saves kept the side in the game.

Though, Mikel Arteta intended to guide through the lead from Trossard's opening goal for the needed points by replacing Gabriel Jesus with Thomas Partey, Odegaard's winner sealed it all up for the side.  The chance of keeping the table summit might be slim with City and Liverpool closely trailing, but for Arsenal, winning every game is important to maintain the title race.
