Premier League: Brentford Secure Thrilling Draw Against Man United

Brentford managed to hold Manchester United to a well-deserved 1-1 home draw with Kristoffer Ajer rescuing the needed goal for the side on the brink of stoppage time

It should have been Manchester United having the victory after the game but the second stoppage time goal forced the game to end in a draw against the hosts.  

United left it late into the stoppages to take the lead with Casemiro capitalising on a defensive flop and let a pass to Mason Mount to blast home from inside the box. Brentford quickly responded three minutes later as Ivan Toney's cut-back rightly landed on Ajer's path to finish off for the equaliser. 

In a game that was well-dominated by Brentford, they scored their only goal of the game and the equaliser on the 31st shots. Meanwhile, United barely trouble the side.

Well-deserved draw and a thrilling game it was. Brentford were really meant to take the victory nonetheless. They started off on the offensive, keeping United deep into their half and had multiple chances to take the lead even from the first half. 

Erik ten Hag's decision to bring on Casemiro and Mason Mount quickly changed the tempo of the game, paving the way to United's taking them lead. Brentford's resilience from the. Start did pay off and credit to Toney for pulling off the assist that led to the equaliser. 

Wissa and Mbeuma also played a vital at the front for Brentford but the good goalkeeping effort from Andre Onana kept United in the game. Two attempts from Toney and Mbeuma did neatly beat Onana but both struck the frame for the game to go the distance.
