Nike Beats Adidas To Be Germany National Team's New Kit Supplier

Sportswear manufacturer, Nike has been announced as the new official kits supplier of Germany national football team, which meant a relief of contract to the country's former kit supplier, Adidas.

Though, presently, the German sportswear maker, Adidas is still in contract with the country's Football Association (DFA), with which it has been in partnership for much of the time since the company's inception in 1948.  The partnership, however, is now set to run out by 2027 from when its American counterpart will take over in a seven-year contract that runs until 2034. The amount involved in the contract  has not disdisclosed.

Nike is a giant kit maker in the sports industry and has range of products that high-profile sports personalities like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James are endorsed for. The American company having to be the new supplier of the national team was reporredly attributed to making the "best financial offer" to the DFA compared to offer from the previous supplier, Adidas.

Germany will host the oncoming continental championship, 2024 Euro and the national team kits will yet be supplied by Adidas. The championship will commence on 14 June and wind up on 14 July.
