Premier League: Rasmus Holjund's Brace Leads Man. United To Beat Luton
Manchester United narrowly made away with a 2-1 victory against Luton Town with Rasmus Holjund scoring a brace to lead the side through the game.
Luton had themselves punished for a defensive error that gave away the ball to Holjund, who finished off the chance for the opening goal. He doubled the lead smacking home a shot from inside of the box in a set piece.
The host pulled one back as Tahith Chong sprinted through the centre and did a one-two ball before unleashing a right-foot shot that deflected off Harry Maguire to bounce off to Carlton Morris for a tap in past Andre Onana.
United held on to the lead through the second half to win the goal against the resilient hosts and sealed the game as their fourth successive league game victory - their longest winning run this season.
Quick Overview
An early lead from United saw a reaction from Luton, who seemingly controlled later stages of the first half despite trailing their visitors. Luton remained competitive regardless of the costly error that gave away their opening goal to Holjund.
Luton were able to force United deep into their halve playing through the centre with Chong charging up the side through. Despite the lead, the frustration in United led to yellow card offenses from Maguire and Casemiro. Luke Shaw was replaced before the interval.
United managed to make it through the second half goalless, even though they had glaring chances, they were unable to extend the lead. Luton's keeper played a vital role at keeping the side in the game and his defenders also helped out.
Fantastic performance from Luton despite the back-to-back defeat to United this season. Though United were really pressed by Luton, yet it was a plausible performance from the side to have won the maximum points.
