The victory gave Liverpool the maximum points needed to go past Manchester City by two points to lead the standings as Jurgen Klopp bids for his second Premier League title after his first in 2019/20.

Quick Overview

Impressive comeback from Liverpool regaining EPL table summit and also for regain the lead against Burnley despite playing without their arch striker, Mohamed Salah.

Burnley did have a couple of glaring chances to making a comeback with even though they were well dominated by the Reds, who stood the better chance of winning the game anyway.

The Reds remained as effective as ever at the front but midway of the match, they saw Burnley putting their defence to work until Nunez delivered the winning goal. It was somewhat of a satisfying outcome to Jurgen Klopp in the end as they are back in the lead of the Premier League title race.
