Premier League: Erling Haaland Leads Man. City To Beat Brentford
Manchester City earned a needed 1-0 victory against Brentford to trail and close the gap with EPL table leaders, Liverpool.
Erling Haaland scored the winning goal in a fast break with a through pass from Julian Alvarez for him to latched onto and guided the ball home past Mark Flekken.
Brentford had glaring chances to have moved ahead from the first half, which they rightly control but Haaland was able to deliver the winning goal for the side from a neat chance on the counter.
The victory extended City's unbeaten run to its 35th in all competitions as they have now narrowed Liverpool's lead to just a point.
Quick Overview
Sensational game from the start with incredible saves from both goalkeepers to keep their side in the game. Also, the opening half saw an impressive defending from both sides, one of which was Onyeka breaking loose for a one-on-one with Ederson and another was his glance header near the closing minutes. City a close call from Bobb's shot touchline clearance by Mee.
City came out offensively in search of the goal in the second half which Harland delivered, but that was not to say that Fofana and Onyeka were effective for Brentford and likewise Flekken at keeping the side in the game.
