Champions League: Lazio Get Off Ahead With Bayern Munich Defeat In R16 First-leg Tie

Lazio got off ahead of Bayern Munich with a 1-0 home victory for an advantage ahead of the Round of 16 second-leg tie.

Bayern conceded the winning goal from a penalty drawn from Dayot Upamecano's rough tackle in the box, then Ciro Immobile scored from the spot-kick for the Italians to take the lead after an hour of play.

It was quite an unfortunate game for the Bundesliga side, and in the other hand, not quite like that as they barely got a shot on target through the stretch of the game. Bayern did have a couple of chances especially Harry Kane's attempt from close range shot wide earlier into the game.

Bayern reliance of individual effort to some extent ruined their team work against their Italian counterparts with sense of cohesion in their team. Having to lose Upamecano to a red card offence further complicated the game for the Germans.

Quite an interesting game but a disappointing performance for Bayern, who lost their first game of the tournament to Lazio and will not host the Italians in Munich for the second-set tie.
