Manchester United claimed a satisfactory 2-2 draw against Tottenham who come from behind to get a point out of the game at Old Trafford.
Briefly in the game, United got the better of the game as Rasmus Holjund smacked a loose ball to beat Gulielmo Vicario to the goal in a set piece. Spurs later leveled up the scores as Richarlison nodded home Pedro Porro's corner.
As the game approached halftime break, Holjund offloaded a pass to Rasford in front of the goal and the forward curled the ball home for United's second goal. After the interval, Spurs once again come from behind to level up in a fast break as Timo Werner offloaded a pass to Rodrigo Bentacur, who latched onto the ball through the crowded box and unleashed a left-foot shot to beat Andrea Onana to the goal.
The game was Wener's debut and he wrapped it up with the assist that equalised the game for the side. The German joined Spurs on loan from Chelsea. Having won the game, Spurs closed in on the top-four and on equal points (40) with closest rivals, Arsenal.
Quick Overview
Both sides could only be delighted to have come out of the match with at least a point apiece, of which United stood the better chance of winning the game. Though, an early lead gave the hosts the lifeline to have the victory but Spurs make up for their deficit after United could not make most of chances had.
Still, the performance of the players was plausible for both sides especially for Tottenham that played without their star forward, Heung min Son. Meanwhile, Richarlison lived up to expectations in the absence of the Japanese in a game that was dominated by United.
