Premier League: Arsenal Claim Big Win Against C. Palace In London Derby

Arsenal are back to winning ways after three consecutive winless runs in the Premier League with a massive 5-0 defeat of Crystal Palace in the London derby at Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel put the side ahead with a header from Declan Rice's corner and the Brazilian doubled the lead with a header bounced off Henderson's back into the goal from Bukayo Saka's corner.

After the interval, Leandro Trossard scored the third in a fast break from Gabriel Jesus' throughball and guided the ball home after rounding a defender.

Gabriel Martinelli completed the routing with two stoppage time goals, first by finishing off Eddie Nketiah's throughball for the fourth goal, and scored the fifth three minutes later from Jorginho's through pass.

Arsenal had been on winless run for the past four games in all competitions and have returned to winning to restore their Premier League title contest.

Quick Overview

Arsenal control the game from start to finish and the goal margin by which they won was compensating enough to their performance. Gabriel was the goal-marker in the game and it seemed as he was going to get a hat-trick until he was substituted. The second goal was also later awarded to Henderson as an own-goal.

Palace initially had Mateta effectively on the attack while Eze and Schlupp were trying to get the balls over. But, with Arsenal taking the lead, Palace gradually waned and the Gunners neatly move around with the balls.

The set pieces leading to two goals from the first half came off good understanding as Gabriel gained enough room for a header and Trossard's from Jesus' through ball was well timed for a break in.
