Jurgen Klopp Speaks Up On Liverpool's Link To Kylian Mbappe Amidst Contract Expiration With PSG

As the football season enters its second phase, Paris Saint-Germain are having a decision to make on Kylian Mbappe, whose contract will be due to expire by the summer.

As revealed by the club, the forward is yet undecided on extending his contract amidst speculations of links to top-flight clubs especially his long time favourites, Real Madrid.

Amongst clubs rumoured to be the French player's next move is Liverpool, and the Reds' manager, Jurgen Klopp has something to say to clarify the club's position on the rumours.

"I can say that I think he's a really good player," Klopp admits on the Fifa World Cup winner. "But the financial conditions don't suit us at all."

Kylian is not that cheap player to have as he is currently the highest-paid player in Ligue 1, and with weekly wages of £1.1m at PSG, the player is the highest-paid player in Europe. That obviously perhaps is out of the reach of Liverpool just as Klopp has mentioned.

Mbappe stands to leave as a free agent if the contract with PSG is not extended, and as he said after the side's 2-0 defeat of Toulouse on Wednesday, he maintained that he has not "made up his mind yet" on the situation.
