Brit Awards 2024: Asake And Others Nominated


This year's Brit Awards will witness top-flight Nigerian artists like Asake and Burna Boy contending for best international artist following the announcement of the nominees for the ceremony which will be held on 2, March at the O2 Arena, London.  

Rema, Calm Down crooner is another Nigerian artist in the nominees, however, in another category for the same hit song, bringing the total number of artists from country contending for an award at the event to three. 

Speaking of an increase in the number of artists for best artist and international of the year, the organisers in a statement explained that: "This change is aimed at improving representation and inclusion."

Both Asake and Burna Boy were also nominated for this year's Grammy Awards but the former was nominated alongside Olumide for Amapiano. Meanwhile, Burna received four nominations amongst which was for his album, City Boy
